Clinical trials
The Foundation supports the promotion and development of scientific research in paediatric oncology through the funding of inherent medical professional liability insurance policies in order to ensure enrolment and participation of children in research studies and thus contribute to effective improvement of the national paediatric oncology reality.
Studies regulated by protocols and that aim to study the disease, evaluate new treatments of cure and, in future cases, recommend the most effective treatment based on these results

Rui Osório de Castro Award
Established in 2017, the Rui Osório de Castro Award is presented annually by the Foundation to encourage and recognize innovative projects and initiatives that contribute to the advancement of pediatric oncology in Portugal.
